June is an exciting month here at the library. It marks the beginning of our Summer Reading Program. This year, in addition to offering our popular Camp Savvy Kids and TechKrew Teens classes, we are introducing the Melrose Technology Camps for Kids, Tweens and Teens. The camps provide students an opportunity to learn science, technology, engineering, media production and more in a fun, hands-on environment. Introducing Processing: Creative Programming for Digital Media

Are you a creative person who would like to try your hand at creating in a digital medium or perhaps you are new to programming and would like a fun way to begin?  If you answered yes to either of these questions, then the Orlando Public Library has the perfect class for you this weekend. Technology Petting Zoo

Curiosity Machine: Build a Robotic Arm for Families

Join us tomorrow, Saturday, December 14 at 2pm at the Orlando Public Library for an exciting new event, Curiosity Machine:  Build a Robotic Arm for Kids.  Families will learn how to build their own basic robotic arm and test its abilities.  Families can share their designs on the Curiosity Machine to earn badges and get feedback from mentoring scientists.   All classes are free to Orange County district resident cardholders, Fee cardholders, and Orange County Property Owner cardholders. Registration is required. To register, you can do so online, call 407-835-7323 or stop by any of our locations.
